Music is an ‘unspoken’ language. Although traditional choral music uses words, any sung sounds, even without words, trigger a response in all of us. Music allows us to describe certain emotions and/or events – and all of these triggers create in us images.
We hear some words set to music and we imagine the scenery, the overall surroundings, the characters of the people described in the words and in music. We all have our own picture in our mind.
Come hear Kantorei’s final concerts of our 31st season and see what images are conjured up in your soul as you listen to the music of Brahms, Rheinberger, Arnesen, Chatman, Finzi, Uusberg, Posthuma and others.
