If you’re looking for a concert opener, this piece is definitely worth considering. This 16th century German chorale melody provides many opportunities for beautiful, lyrical singing. The third verse provides an optional descant for added interest as the piece comes to a close. My singers loved singing with a string quartet – the experience made them feel so special!
