The Central District recognizes Dr. Lara Moline and the St. Cloud State University Music Department with the Advocate for Choral Excellence Award. Dr. Moline served as the Assistant Professor of Voice and Choral Music Education for the past three years at SCSU.

Dr. Moline specializes in Vocal Jazz and has expanded this style throughout the state of Minnesota. The SCSU Chamber Singers recently performed an incredible vocal jazz concert at the MMEA Midwinter Clinic in February. Dr. Moline’s work at SCSU fostered community and inspired numerous singers.

The SCSU Choral Program also continued important outreach programs in the greater St. Cloud area, through visits to area schools and notable events such as the Big Sing and the Choral Connections Concert. We are grateful for the work of Dr. Lara Moline and the lasting impact of the St Cloud State University Music Department.
