This is a powerhouse movement from Carmina Burana, one in a triptych of choral ballets by Carl Orff. Mostly unison and octaves with piano 4-hands accompaniment. This piece will challenge singers and conductors with the time and tempo changes, The text is a combination of both Medieval Latin and German. The song, as one might have guessed, takes poke in a tern, and the blue collar singers are singing about how all people are the same regardless of their social class.
