Sponsorships

Choral music is alive and well throughout the state of Minnesota. Everyday of the year, musicians of all ages come together and create the magic of choral singing. ACDA-MN’s over 700 members support this activity through professional development opportunities for choral directors, scholarships for undergraduate and graduate studies, and performance opportunities for young singers.

Two categories of sponsorships are available:

A) Season Sponsorships

B) Event Sponsorships

Season Sponsor

Performing in a choir is more than a series of performances—it’s a powerful educational journey that shapes lives. As a Gold, Silver, or Bronze-Level Season Sponsor, you’ll be a guiding force behind this mission, helping every young singer find their voice and share it with the world. Because a community that sings together, grows together.

Summer Dialogue

In August, 150-200 active ACDA members and college students gather for a 3-day intensive experience that includes professional development sessions, a director’s choir (ensemble made up of attendees), music reading and repertoire sessions. The week includes the annual Awards Banquet where the Advocate for Choral Excellence (ACE) awards are presented to people across Minnesota who have done outstanding work for their communities, serving the choral arts.

State Conference

In November, 175-250 active ACDA members and college students participate in a two-day event, which includes performances by 15-20 auditioned and invited choirs from around the state. A highlight of the conference is the Annual Awards Luncheon, where awards are given out to the Emerging Choral Director Award, Choral Director of the Year Award, and the F. Melius Christiansen Lifetime Achievement Award.

Honor Choirs

Nearly 800 young musicians in grades 4-10 participate in the Honor Choir program. Over two thousand students audition for a spot in one of seven ensembles, categorized by age and voice type. The goal of the program is to encourage students who want to excel at choral singing to be able to meet peers from across the state for a one day high-quality musical experience. Broken into three separate days by age group (grades 4-5-6, 7-8, and 9-10), each day culminates in a final performance filled with an audience of family and friends.

Star of the North

An e-magazine published three times a year (Fall, Winter, and Spring) and features articles spotlighting the incredible wealth of choral talent and knowledge throughout the state.
