MWACDA Choral Leadership Academy

ACDA-MN is proud to participate in the first Midwest ACDA Regional Conference Choral Leadership Academy.

One current choral music education or choral conducting major from Minnesota will be selected to particpate in the event to be held in Milwaukee, WI on February 25-28, 2026. The participating student will receive a complimentary conference registration and housing for the week.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:
1. Be currently enrolled in a collegiate music education or choral conducting program.
2. Must be a student member of ACDA.
3. Have completed at least two semesters of undergraduate coursework (or be enrolled in a
graduate program focused on choral music education/conducting). Please note that the
goal is to encourage pre-professionals but not to exclude graduate students.
4. Demonstrate exceptional potential as a future choral leader through academic
achievement, musicianship, and leadership experience.
5. Commit to attending the full MWACDA Conference and all Choral Leadership Academy
sessions, including pre-selected conference sessions and debrief meetings.

Key Dates:

1. October 31, 2025 – Application deadline for candidates.
2. November 10, 2025 – States forward nominees to MWACDA President.
3. November 21, 2025 – MWACDA President announces final selections.
4. February 25–28, 2026 – Choral Leadership Academy at MWACDA Conference.
