Summer Dialogue Scholarships

Scholarships provided by the F. Melius Christiansen (FMC) Endowment Fund Committee are available for emerging conductors (recent graduates and directors with up to two years of experience); and first-time attendees to Summer Dialogue, regardless of years of experience.

Interested members may apply for scholarships in two categories:

Full Scholarship:

Registration Fee & 3 nights (T W TH) of campus lodging ($471) value

Eligibility: 1st or 2nd year Minnesota choral director or recent college/university graduate

Partial Scholarship:

Registration Fee ($290) value

Eligibility: Minnesota choral director attending Summer Dialogue for the first time, regardless of experience

EXTENDED Deadline for scholarship application received by June 10, 2026

Please indicate the receipt of any previous scholarships offered by the FMC Endowment Fund. No individual will be awarded more than one scholarship within any of these scholarship categories: Summer Dialogue, Graduate Study, ACDA National Division Conference, and World Symposium on Choral Music.
Full Attendance(Required)
Scholarship recipients are expected to make every effort to receive the full benefit of the programs for which scholarships are presented by being in attendance for the full duration of the program. Any extenuating circumstances that might make this impossible should be noted.
