There are very few times in our lives when we are offered a “re-set”: Kindergarten, relocation, college start, job change. Each of these are major events that shift the people around us providing us the opportunity to build new relationships and re-establish our character and reputation. This season we have the unique opportunity to re-set, re-think, re-shape, re-invent, re-invest, re-tool, re-load, re-start our work.
It is my hope that you have taken time this summer to re-consider what your singers need most. By prioritizing these needs we will inevitably find ourselves re-prioritizing our work, perhaps even re-sizing the breadth of offerings for the upcoming season. These are the benefits of major re-sets in our life. The opportunity to make professional and personal adjustments that best serve our singers and ourselves.
May the coming season bring you inspiration to be creative in your approach. May you find true joy in re-engaging with your choir(s). May you find great satisfaction in inspiring choral music in Minnesota. May you be richly blessed in your journey!!!
