ACDA National Conference Scholarship

Conference Dates: March 7-10, 2027 in Minneapolis

The F. Melius Christiansen (FMC) Endowment Fund annually offers scholarships to attend the ACDA National or Midwest Regional Conference.

The scholarship will assist with expenses related to registration:

  • Up to $1,170 available for active members
  • Up to $1,000 available for student members

This is not a cash award. The FMC Endowment Fund will reimburse expenses up to the total amount of the scholarship awarded, for which registration receipts are submitted. The scholarship award could be applied to the purchase of music, books, resources or other conference materials.

Application Deadline

December 1

Eligible Applicants

  • First-time attendee to a regional or national ACDA conference.
  • Applicants must be members of ACDA-MN.

Selection will be made by the FMC Endowment Fund Scholarship Subcommittee.

Applications must include

  • A complete current resume, including complete address, phone, and email information.
  • A Letter of recommendation from an applicant’s administrator/supervisor familiar with the applicant’s work.
  • A statement (within the form) of how this experience will impact the applicant’s continued development as a choral conductor.

Please indicate the receipt of any previous scholarships offered by the FMC Endowment Fund. No individual will be awarded more than one scholarship within any of these scholarship categories: Summer Dialogue, Graduate Study, ACDA National Division Conference, and World Symposium on Choral Music.
Full Conference Attendance(Required)
Please Note: Scholarship recipients are expected to make every effort to receive the full benefit of the programs for which scholarships are presented by being in attendance for the full duration of the program. Any extenuating circumstances that might make this impossible should be noted.
